Itinerary

Our plane in marouch travel for this tour is to transfer you from your Marrakech accommodation driving to our purpose the Sahara desert. In this trip we have a lot to investigate; there are green oases, sand dunes in an ocean of sand, Kasbahs, camel rambling and an overnight stay in a Sahara desert camp where you will be in the hug of Sahar  where you and your private party can gaze up into the night sky and witness the endless array of stars. There is no light pollution to spoil your starlight gaze at your camp in the middle of the desert, and the sunset you witness when camel trekking is equally lavish.

DAY 1: MARRAKECH – BOUMALNE DADES

Afterwards the light breakfast following that by picking you up from your Marrakech accommodation driving you to Dades, we will drive you via the high Atlas Mountains where u can see the magic of green landscapes to Telouit, down to the KASBAH at Ait-Ben Hadou. This famous Kasbah built in the 11th century it is classified as a World Heritage site since 1987, which is several buildings that established side by side, the site, had been the setting for many films including Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator it contains several small markets or souks within its walled compounds. Continuing to Ouarzazate known to be the door to the desert, a city that established in 1920, it is populated by Berbers who constructed many of the prominent kasbahs and building for which the area is known as the Kasbah of Taourirt diverted in 17th century. The door to the desert is the place where many Hollywood blockbuster films were shot and filmed there in one of Morocco’s biggest studios inviting many international film companies to shoot their movies like Lawrence of Arabia (1962), The Living Daylights (1987)….

We may also stop off at the Atlas Film Studios. There is a 3.00-euro entrance fee to the studios, which has not been included within the price. Entry to the studios is at your own discretion. In the midday, we will continue to the Dades Valley and we are still on our journey within the first day. However, a long and adventurous drive will culminate in a guesthouse overnight stay in Dades after a delicious Moroccan evening meal has been enjoyed.

DAY 2: BOUMALNE DADES – MERZOUGA

From our last station that is Dades, we will start the day with a traditional Moroccan style breakfast and embark on a four-hour drive to Merzouga. In this day our reason is to reach Todra Gorge that is a witness one of the world’s most awesome sights. Todgha gorges, which are a large canyon with well-maintained asphalt roads, rock climbers, occasional flooding from the Dades River and several tourists enjoying scenery like no other we may knock around under the 300 m high red slopes it feels like being fallen into another lande on another planet than here on mother earth. Just make sure the cameras are fully loaded and ready to snap.
THE OVERNIGHT STAY UNDER THE STARS
not any one can claim to have slept out under the stars, in a warm and silent desert with the stars above them twinkling in their thousands. Spending the night under the stars in a warm weather seeing the stars chining as pearls is one of the charming moments. In the morning we will be sure that our local guide will wake you up to live the best moment in this trip, you will hike camels to reach the top of the highest sand dune  to see eyewitness sunrise in morning and sunset in the afternoon. The camels will take you over the Dunes of Erg Chebbi before breakfast and the long journey home to Marrakech.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA – MARRAKECH

Being on way coming back to the Moroccan Paris, you will see the fascinating Rissani; SIJILMASSA once upon time, the city of Alaouit SHORAFA, seeing also Moroccan architecture, Nqob, Tamnougalt and then the city of Ouarzazate once again heading towards the majestic Atlas Mountains. Cross the High chains of Atlas Mountains via the highest road pass in Morocco TizniTichka2260m high offering impressive views of valleys, mountains and many Berber villages nearby. We will arrive in Marrakech around 6.00 or 7.00 p.m.
